Security worker terrified after hearing strange grunts at ‘haunted’ car auction

2 min read

A security guard has filmed a spooky video of what he believed was a spirit making an eerie grunting noise from the bathroom.

Reddit user, Asosa94, who works at Manheim NY Metro Skyline car auction in New Jersey, US, said he was heading to the toilet when he suddenly heard a “ghost” whispering.

He wrote: “I was the only one at the building at this time. As I went to use the bathroom this spirit was talking or making grunts.

“To me it sounds like it’s saying ‘help me’.”

The footage, which has been upvoted 97% within a day, shows the bathroom where he believes the noise is coming from.

A faint grunt-like sound can be heard as he remains motionless at the corridor.

The terrified worker said he was told by colleagues that the building is haunted.

He commented under the video: “This car auction has been running for quite some time. They have pictures from 1920s framed around the building.

"Not too sure about that (murder incidents). But they do store totaled cars of people that died in them. That can be the reason why the place is haunted."

Viewers also claimed to have heard a sound whispering "help me" in the video.

One wrote: "I can hear the 'help me' actually, like a person being strangled, be interesting to find out the history of that place.

"There is something in that audio..some may say an animal but it's not so clear cut."

Another agreed and added: "Sounds like someone getting strangled and trying to say help me! That s**** scary. I would have soiled myself and left."

The worker said he had "waves of goosebumps" while recording the paranormal activity.

"I actually ran out the building but came back. Had to record it or no one will believe it," he added.

To make thing even spooky, the worker commented: "I've seen car engines and mostly headlights or interior lights turned on randomly on my patrols, especially the section where ppl died from car accidents."
